Bishop Lynch offers one semester dance courses for a variety of abilities – from Intro to Dance all the way to Choreography. A recital is performed at the end of each semester that features the hard work and talent of the dancers.
The BL Brigade is Bishop Lynch’s award-winning drill team. Since the very first line started performing in 1967, the BL Brigade has high kicked, leaped and pirouetted into the very heart of Friar Nation. Known as the Pride of Bishop Lynch, the BL Brigade is a fan favorite at pep rallies and halftime performances.
The BL dance program has meant a lot to me considering I have taken the class with Mrs. Kindley for 4 semesters now, and plan to do it 1 more time in the spring. I love learning the different styles and techniques of ballet, jazz, and modern. My favorite part is after practicing hard (and having lots of fun) for months, all your family and friends show up at the recital to support you! I would definitely suggest taking dance to anyone who needs an art or PE credit, or just for an extra-curricular because I promise you will have such a great time with some amazing people!
